Preorder Terms

These terms apply to every purchase from ferrochess.com. Ferro Chess LLC is an Oregon limited liability company (“Ferro,” “we,” “us”). By placing an order, you agree to these terms.
Preorders
Ferro sets are sold as preorders: you pay in full at checkout for a set that is made after your purchase. Payment is taken when you order.
The Founder's Edition
The Founder's Edition is limited to 20 sets, numbered 1 through 20. Numbers are assigned in the order purchases are completed and cannot be selected or changed. Founder's Edition pricing is offered first to waitlist members for a limited window. Remaining sets may then be offered at a higher price. Pricing for future production runs may differ and does not affect confirmed orders.
Handmade materials
Each set is cast and finished by hand in concrete. Natural variations in tone, texture and surface, including small surface pores, are characteristics of the material, not defects. Product photographs show our prototype. We may make minor refinements to materials or finishes between the prototype and production sets, such as the cloth edge detail. Any change will match or exceed the quality shown.
Shipping dates
Stated ship windows are estimates made in good faith. If we can’t ship within the stated window, we’ll notify you before it ends with a revised date, and you may cancel for a full refund. See our Shipping Policy.
Prices and payment
All prices are in US dollars. Payments are processed securely by Stripe; we never see or store your full card details. International orders may be subject to import duties and taxes, which are the buyer’s responsibility.
Cancellations and returns

Errors and availability
If an order is placed at an incorrect price because of a technical error, or if we are unable to fulfil an order for reasons outside our control, we may cancel it and refund you in full.
Liability
Our liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for it. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be waived.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon, without affecting mandatory consumer rights in your country of residence.
Changes
We may update these terms. The version in effect when you placed your order applies to that order.
