Shipping Policy

Made to order

Every Ferro set is made by hand after it is ordered. Founder's Edition sets ship within 8–10 weeks of purchase for US orders and 8–12 weeks for international orders. We send production updates along the way, and a tracking number the day your set leaves the studio.

If your set is delayed

If we can’t ship within the window stated at purchase, we’ll email you before that window ends with a revised date. You can then choose to wait, or cancel for a full refund.

United States

Shipping within the United States is free. Every order is fully insured and tracked. A signature may be required on delivery.

International

We ship to Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, the Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland and the United Kingdom for a flat $100 per set, fully insured and tracked. If your country isn’t listed, write to contact@ferrochess.com.

Customs, duties and VAT

International orders are shipped with import duties and taxes unpaid. These are set by your country and collected by the carrier on delivery. They are the buyer’s responsibility and are not included in our prices or shipping fee. If an international shipment is refused or not collected, we’ll refund the purchase price less the return shipping cost and any duties or fees charged to us. The original shipping fee is non-refundable.

Addresses

Please check your shipping address at checkout. To change it, email us before your set ships. We can’t ship to PO boxes or freight forwarders. If a set is returned to us because of an incorrect address, we’ll reship it at cost.

Damage or loss in transit

Every set is packed in a fitted foam insert and insured for its full value. If anything arrives damaged, email contact@ferrochess.com within 7 days of delivery with photos of the damage and the packaging, and keep the packaging until we’ve resolved it. We’ll replace the damaged pieces, or the set. If a shipment is lost, we’ll file the claim and replace your set or refund it in full.
